Founded in 2003, Burling Insurance Group LTC develops personalized insurance solutions that enable individuals to maintain their quality of life and empower them to protect their financial security. Burling is owned and managed by healthcare professionals who have firsthand experience with the financial and care challenges facing individuals requiring long-term care. Longstanding relationships with leading long term care insurance carriers enable Burling specialists to craft plans for individuals, families, employer groups and associations nationwide.

Burling Insurance Group is founded on three principles. First, we are dedicated to educating our clients about the financial risks resulting from the cost of care and about the need for long term care insurance. Second, we are committed to providing a wide array of access to quality long-term care insurance carriers and innovative plan designs. Third, as dedicated long-term care specialists, we pledge to remain active in our industry, continually monitoring current trends, plan designs and the financial status of carriers.

Meet the Team

Gail Steingold, LTCP 

Founder and Principal of Burling Insurance Group Long Term Care

Gail is the founder and principal of Burling Insurance Group Long Term Care established in 2003. She brings a unique background of long-term healthcare service delivery with the development and marketing of long-term care individual and group insurance. She has consulted and implemented association and employer sponsored true and multi-life group LTC programs for over a decade.

Gail served as director of marketing for Warren Barr Pavilion, a Medicare-certified nursing facility in downtown Chicago. Licensed since 1992 she fulfilled the role of LTC Product Manager for Washington National Insurance Company Education Division, National Account Director for The Long Term Care Group and as a national Practice Leader for the former Near North Insurance Brokerage, one of the largest commercial brokerages in the country. Gail has been a member of the Million Dollar Round Table and has been recognized nationally for her sales achievements in 2005 through 2007 both in individual and group long term care business by the American Association of Long Term Care Insurance (AALTCI).

Gail has authored industry articles for the Society of Actuaries Group LTC division, Employees Benefits Digest and has been quoted in other industry publications regarding employer sponsored LTCi including The National Underwriter. Additionally, Gail served as a member of several industry organizations, including the Caregiver Taskforce for the National Council on Aging, the American Association for Long Term Care Insurance, the Worldwide Employee Benefits Network and the American Speech/Language and Hearing Association. Gail has served since 2003 as a board member of the Jewish Child and Family Services of Chicago and a representative to the Association of Jewish Family Services Agencies. She holds a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in communicative disorders from University of Wisconsin–Madison.
